Hot-rolled Strip Coils
1. Brief
The Compact Strip Production ( CSP for short) Line is one
of the main construction items of the strip project of Masteel.
The technology and equipment of the line is imported from SMS
and SIEMENS of Germany and PIANTI of Italy. The project after
completion is able to produce per year 2 million tons
hot-rolled strip coils of 0.8~12.7mm thick and 900~1600mm
wide. The production line consists of two thin slab continuous
casters, two (2) roller-type hearth soaking furnaces,
seven-stand four-high rolling mill and the related auxiliary
facilities and systems. With this line, ferrite rolling and
semi-endless rolling technology is possible and the
requirements for rolling of extra-thin products can be
satisfied. The production line was commissioned and put into
operation in October 18th of 2003. This resulted in a
plate-to-strip ratio of over 40 percent in Masteel's
production and therefore greatly increased the competitiveness
of the enterprise in the market.
The designed production capacity of the Compact Strip
Production Line is 2 million tons a year. 70 to 80 percent of
the products are used for cold rolling within Masteel while
the remaining products are for sale in the form of hot-rolled
strip coils.

starting material of the cold rolling production.
2、The standard indicated for the extra-low carbon steel
is the standard of the enterprise.
3、The production, inspection and delivery of the products
are carried out in accordance with the national and the
international standards. The main standards to go by are the
Chinese national standards GB, JIS, DIN and ASTM, etc.
